MY VIEW, YOUR MOUNTAIN
MY VIEW, YOUR MOUNTAIN is an artistic research & photography project inspired by our many visits to the North of Norway. In every house/home that we visited (kindly invited by a local) we encountered a room with a view. The view usually comes in multiple forms: there is a window with a view of the outside world, and there is a painting or photograph with a similar view hanging on the wall (often directly next to the window). While visiting people’s homes and looking through their eyes and view, we try to find out what landscape feature(s) make a Bodøværing feel at home.
Marthe Thu captures these views and homes through analog photography, creating a photo series and outdoor exhibition.
We are visiting homes and taking pictures from August throughout September 2026.
